Gaslights

The debut album from Aghast Manor, the darkwave alter ego of musician, novelist and actress Andréa Nebel. Gaslights conjures a fevered world of 1920s decadence — absinthe smoke, femmes fatales, occult séances and Lovecraftian dread — set to fragile darkwave songwriting steeped in the old-school Cold Meat Industry spirit. Folk-tinged chants and a mature gothic atmosphere keep the theatre from ever tipping into pastiche, resulting in one of the genre’s most beguiling curios. Includes a track penned by Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation.
