Julia Kent - «Delay»
Julia Kent - «Delay»
Digipak CD 2007, Shayo
14.00 €URO
Delay is a CD of multi-tracked cello and found sounds inspired by airports' transitoriness and by the private emotional worlds that we create amid the disorientations and disjunctions of travel. This is a must have for any fans of Johann Johannsson, Max Richter, Brian Eno's "Music For Airports" and Antony & The Johnsons.

Kirlian Camera (Italy) - «Invisible Front. 2005»
Kirlian Camera - «Coroner´s sun»
CD 2004, Trisol
16.00 €URO
Invisible Front is one of KC’s strongest albums to date, and includes one of their best songs ever.

Invisible Front 2005 contains over an hour of music. Short and long songs, danceable and tranquil moments, poppy and experimental tracks. The artwork has a very modern style and many songs seem to deal with space and sky. The music also sounds very spacious and clear.

After the experimental intro ‘Mission Diarty I’, with spoken word by Lloyd James (Naevus), follows the absolute highlight: ‘K-Pax’, a nostalgic electronic anthem lasting over 6 minutes. It contains lovely delicate vocals by Elena Fossi, delicious wavy electronics and a pleasant melody with floating synth lines. This track belongs at least in the same league as ‘Eclipse’ or ‘The desert inside’.

But there is more to enjoy on this album. Estarnging sound collages like ‘Nefertitiae’, vintage electro on ‘Dead in the sky’, the romantic hymn ‘The path of flowers’ or the long and mellow ‘K-Space-Y-1’, with the easily recognizable guest vocals of Jarboe.

Invisible Front contains a gret deal of spacious moody electronics with a very clear sound. ‘K-Pax’ is a great hit, while the rest of the album is more tranquil and atmospheric. Experimental structures, yet pleasant to listen to. Often I’m reminded of 70’s space synth pioneers, like Tangerine Dream. A fascinating trip!

Kirlian Camera (Italy) - «Coroner´s sun»
Kirlian Camera - «Coroner´s sun»
Digipak 2xCD 2006, Trisol
25.00 €URO
KIRLIAN CAMERA is back with the most eagerly expected new album and for sure one of the best to come in this year! KIRLIAN CAMERA's new release impressively proves what happens if you take an already most accomplished band to new limits. Completely unperturbed, the band continues to follow their blazed trail with Coroner's Sun. The new work combines KIRLIAN CAMERA's typical electro sound with dark poly-hymns which give Elena's voice more room for development than the preceding album. KIRLIAN CAMERA have come back to their roots - with more vitality than ever: rhythm, structure and effects of each and every song are absolutely perfect. High-resolution soundscapes, halls that seem to be endless and high-tech samples which are both classical and ingenious. Angelo Bergamini's vast imagination slowly - though with a steady hand - carries us away into an ocean of melancholy with mystic and mysterious songs that reach beyond the borders of electronic music. The special limited edition also contains remixes by :Wumpscut:, Punto Omega and others!

Kirlian Camera (Italy) - «Schmerz»
Limited Edition Reissue
Kirlian Camera - «Schmerz»
Digipak CD 2007, Twilight Records
13.00 €URO
Surely one the most important release for Twilight Records - the re-release of legendary Kirlian Camera album Schmerz. Originally released in 1992 as a 7" single, enclosed in a magazine (tracks 1 to 6) and as Maxi CD on KC's own Heavens Gate Label (incl. track 7) and finally as full-length CD in 1995 (all 13 tracks) on extinct record label Discordia, this album sounds as fresh and new as it was recorded yesterday! Schmerz is one of the premiere masterpieces from Kirlian Camera and contains some of their best tracks ever written ("Heldenplatz" and "Twilight Fields" to mention just two). Kirlian Camera are the historical pioneers of the Italian electronic scene. Active since 1980, they are one of the most important cult bands in Europe and it was about time to make this amazing album available again! Schmerz is eclectic - a hypnotic blend of dark folk, electronic, ethereal and many other different genres combined to perfect effect. This re-release comes in totally new design with brand new cover art.

Kuu - «Suomi or the well of impossible wishes»
Kuu - «Suomi or the well of impossible wishes»
CD 2008, Twilight Records
12.00 €URO
Kuu is the name that Finnish people gives to the moon.
The action: the battle with yourself.
The scene: the flat and snowy lands of Finland under the northern lights.
This is the context where take place the drama of Kuu. A collection of poems that focus the problem of self conscience, the misunderstanding of feelings, the internal chaos.
To be completely alone in a foreign land with an internal conflict, only being able to talk with the moon, with Kuu. She is the one who can hear your laments and hug you when everything is lost. There exists always an exit.

Based in his experiences in Finland in 1999, Kuu wrote these poems.
Later he decided to transform them into music in 2001.
He talked with Bitxo, a friend from Barcelona, gave him the poems and explained him his experiences.
So, Bitxo recorded electro-acoustic basis and Kuu went to Barcelona to record the voices. Finally the tracks were sent to Sheffield where Matt Howden includes a violin line to some of them.

An amazing trip trought different geographies .. you can say its dark folk, ambient, electronic, its just KUU !!
